CINK Cross-Flow technology

The machine at the heart of SD Eco.

A project milestone: Uzbekistan’s first Czech–German Cross-Flow turbine installation.

The turbine is manufactured by CINK Hydro–Energy, a Czech manufacturer of Cross-Flow hydropower equipment. “Czech–German” is SD Eco’s own project designation for the installation, supplied by the owner.

The unit purchased for SD Eco is tailor-made for this hydropower installation, built around the site’s specific head, flow regime and powerhouse layout.

Operating principle

The Cross-Flow is a radial, impulse-type turbine. Water enters tangentially through a divided inlet and crosses the horizontal-shaft runner twice—once on the way in and again on the way out—before discharging below the machine.
